WHO AM I?

Hello! I’m Bailey, a freelance graphic designer and ‘jack-of-all-trades’ creative located in Colorado, USA  with a passion for music and underground culture. I primarily focus on posters + print goods, merch, album artwork, and branding for the music industry, in addition to clothing brands and other small businesses.

My design style is characterized by contrasting, often simple color schemes, juxtaposed positive and negative space, aggressive use of texture and ‘darker’ aesthetics. I am heavily influenced by punk/grunge flyers + DIY zines, relief printing + screen printing, Early Modern design,  Nu-Brutalism, and the Avant Garde.

Having been in bands since I was a kid and working numerous jobs in the creative industry, I have developed a unique set of skills that position me well to assist with a variety of creative projects for musicians, brands and small businesses with a more 'alternative’ aesthetic.

HOW IT ALL STARTED.

My journey as a graphic designer began when I was 13 years-old making fake album covers and merch for my garage band (in MS Word and Paint…). From there I was exposed to Adobe Photoshop in my high school photography class.

My post high school journey led me into various creative roles in churches where I honed my skills in design, photo and video while I got my Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management. In 2020, I began freelancing and since I have worked with many bands, worked a 2 year contract designing over 30 beverage labels for a craft brewery, branded several businesses, directed/filmed/edited music videos, designed several posters for indie films, designed shirts for clothing brands and started selling my own art prints.

A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ME.

When I’m not designing, you can find me selling my prints at local art markets, going to hardcore/punk/emo shows, playing with my band Valienta, making music videos, working on my 1971 Honda CB350 cafe racer, or spending time outside with my partner. (PHOTOx3). I’m obsessed with vintage things, American traditional tattoos, nature, existentialism and the DIY ethos. My lifelong dream has been to make a living making music and art, and it’s an absolute pleasure to be on this journey.
